DAR Genealogical Research System (GRS)
This online genealogical database has been ranked as a top genealogy website by Family Tree Magazine. The GRS comprises collections of cross-linked databases that DAR has made available online, including the DAR Ancestor Database, Member Database, Descendants Database, DAR Library Catalog, DAR Genealogical Records Committee database, and others. The databases are arranged on separate tabs to make navigation easier. Information in the first three databases is derived from approved DAR member-related applications. This is a free resource provided by the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to aid general genealogical research and to assist with the DAR membership process.

DAR Record Copies
Copies of previously verified DAR membership applications (“record copies”) of active, deceased, resigned, or dropped DAR members may be ordered from the Library Copy Services Office for a fee of $10.00 per application for electronic orders or $15.00 per application for copies ordered by mail or by fax.

Supporting Documentation
“Record copies” only consist of the application, and not copies of the supporting documentation that originally accompanied it. The latter is available through the Library Search Service for a fee of $10.00 per request for NSDAR members or $15.00 per request for nonmembers. The fee covers 10 photocopies, including title page of cited work. Access to these supporting documents may be helpful to researchers looking for that missing piece of information. The documents may include vital records, deeds, wills, bible records, etc. Documents containing personal information will not be available unless they are over 100 years old.
